We hope to achieve a future where local farmers are thriving, local communities are flourishing economically and socially, residents are healthy and have a connection to their food, and food security is continuously enriched.
This goal is achieved through:
- Providing support for local community farmers markets across the state
- Accepting EBT
directy at all three of our managed farmers markets and providing
incentives for people to continue shopping locally
- Partnering with
other sustainably oriented nonprofits
- Providing free
and easy seasonal recipe cards to shoppers every market day
- Hosting fun
community events throughout the year, including the Strawberry Dessert
Festival (this summer from June 7 - July 7) and Urban Barn Dance
- Lobbying for
your right to have easy access to fresh, local, nutritious food that
supports our economy
- Managing three
famers markets in the Boston Area: Copley Square in Boston, Davis Square
in Somerville and Central Square in Cambridge
This blog is YOUR
